Cadaveric: Complex Surgical Approaches to the Skull Base

In November 2022, the ICENI Centre ran the first combined Neurology and ENT course in the UK using cadaveric heads, held at Ipswich Hospital.  Joint Course Leads Mr Alireza Shoakazemi, a neurological surgeon, and Mr Sachin Patil, an ENT surgeon, put together a fantastic programme for nine delegates to learn different surgical approaches involved in both specialist areas.

We had collaboration from Leica-Microsystems, Karl Storz UK, Med-El, Stryker UK and Carl Zeiss Ltd.  Without their support providing equipment, this course wouldn’t have been able to take place, and we appreciate all their help.
